CA – MSE expands their patented ultrasonic
cartridge welding technologies to include the HP 4200,
HP 4300 and HP 4600. MSE now operates ten welders which
can weld more than eighteen models.

Our engineers studied the challenge of proper mag-sealing
blade alignment and came up with a solution. Because standard
cartridge clips are unable to stabilize certain models,
we decided to take it further. It's our commitment to

In conjunction with patented welding technologies, MSE
has developed complementary splitting equipment that does
not remove plastic and keeps alignment pins in place.
These complete splitting and sealing systems are developed
for each new welded cartridge MSE introduces. By doing
so, MSE achieves exact mag-sealing blade alignment and
MSE cartridges actually fit better in the machine. MSE
welded cartridges provide even print densities across
the page and this process eliminates leaking.
"Cartridge welding is no longer an option," says
Yoel Wazana, President. "We've found that the standard
method to remanufacture some of the newer cartridges has
some inherent flaws. By using blades to cut open these
cartridges, the tolerances between internal components
changes. This dramatically affects print quality. Our
machine shop designed and built a proprietary splitting
machine that does not remove plastic which allows us to
re-weld them. It's thinking outside the box that makes
our products better"
